remove each shims one by one and inspect all your valve lock,
check for a loose piece,

what's your oil pressure like, at idle?
the fact that it goes away once the engine is a but higher in the revs, indicate to me, you might have a oil-pressure issue.
try a little bit thicker oil... 20w50 maybe, see if that has any effect on it...

i changed my complete inlet throttle boddy and injectors 
that solved mined

Hi guys,
I haven't done anything as yet as i'm not sure what to do.
The guys are saying that the head would need to come off and be sent to an engineering shop.
Other guys are saying that its the oil pressure at idle and even the throttle body, so its one of those trial and error problems.
Untill it really starts sounding like a tractor, i'll end up doing something but for now shes noisy at idle and smokes like hell once you hit 5000rpm but performs pretty well for a std 20v.

I hear a scratching sound from my 20v blk top wen i rev to 1 nd a half thousand but it goes away after that and motor sounds slightly diesel like in idle what could it be?
