what is the specific output of this motor, I always believed it to be 79kw

i also thought 79KW. i see wikipedia says 84-85KW

Its not your top speed that counts but how quick u get to it...

could it be that sa versions are 79kw due to the fuel just like how the 20v pushes more in japan due to the higher octane fuel

i was also puzzled when i checked wiki, maybe it does have something to do with our fuels.

on the dyno mines made about 78kw , thats stock , with 310000 on the ODO and head gasket givin crap including lown valve stem seals ../../extensions/custom_smilies_2/img1/tongue , this is the motor from a 2000 rolla ,and makes higher power than the older motors with the split intake.

for curiosity sake if you in jhb take your car to KAR Performance , lotsa people use that dyno as a benchmark as its not too stingy , it cost about R100-R150 .
