Topic: Attempting the 9AGE Blacktop 20v Conversion
Ive recently read an article on the new 9AGE conversion.
It is done with a 7AFE block, 1ZZGE crank, and 2ZZ conrods.
We currently have these parts scattered between a few of us....
There is a little machining to be done but i think this would be great for R&D @ 9000RPM.
Here is some pics courtesy of "Turbo4AGTE" from Toymods :

Modifications needed include have to shave the sides of the block walls, as it seems the counterweights are slightly thicker and wont allow it to seat into the main bore. Thats the only "machining". But we will have to see as i think matching a piston may be a problem.
Incidentally using an 83mm 7afe bore will give a cubic capacity that converts to 1990cc.
So now...take a nicely done 4AGE 20v Blacktop head with with 45mm throttles, cams etc and slap it straight on and you will have a...wait for it....
