Topic: More Weird Noises

Howsit Guys

I have been noticing a strange distinct tapping noise coming from the engine bay when the car is idling,
A few guys have heard it and told me the lifters are rowdy but it seems the noise goes away when i put the clutch in.
Any suggestions what could be the issue here guys? Mech says clutch needs balancing! ../../extensions/custom_smilies_2/img1/blink
Got Exedy clutch and stock flywheel on the car.

Thanks

Re: More Weird Noises

Thanks for the response dude.

The thing is I put the new clutch and releaser bearing towards the end of 2012.
It Shouldn't give issues so soon right?

Re: More Weird Noises

tapping sound? from the clutch?

Does it go away if u just rest your foot on the clutch? or only when u press the clutch?

Its not your top speed that counts but how quick u get to it...

It only goes away when i put the clutch in, when i release the clutch i hear click followed by a constant tapping noise like something comes loose when the clutch is released.  ../../extensions/custom_smilies_2/img1/blink

Re: More Weird Noises

I also agree. Sounds like your release bearing. It shouldn't be giving a problem so soon though. ../../extensions/custom_smilies_2/img1/unsure
