Hahaha....Taking it to RBTS for a rewire and retune and HOPEFULLY the problem will be solved and i'll make 150whp+  ../../extensions/custom_smilies_2/img1/blink

I'm not clued up about the tuners in JHB, but i'm sure there a few guys on the forum that can point you in the right direction.

150whp is low, aim for 190whp+.  That is what that motor is supposed to be making in stock form, actually that is around 7kw less lol.

190whp ATW at altitude? I don't think so.
If a Toyota 86 can only manage 130whp on the same dyno the Beams is still doing pretty good @145whp

Only 130whp??  ../../extensions/custom_smilies_2/img1/blink  That is under 100wkw. I think that dyno is very stingy. Even at altitude I'd expect the 86 to make at the very least 170whp.

Re: Toyota LM Bubble with red top 3sge conversion

170whp is a lot for a 2L N/A, thats Honda S2000 power.

For NA cars you can just take the KW reading from the factory, and you have hp atw, well a little less.

Re: Toyota LM Bubble with red top 3sge conversion

Specs on the 86 :

Toyota GT 86 specifications and technical data
Performance
Max Power  147 kW (197 hp) at 7000rpm

Max Torque  205 N·m (151 ft·lbf) at 6600rpm

Redline : 7400rpm m

Engine Location : Front
Engine :  Subaru Boxer Flat4

Aspiration : NA
Cylinders : 4
Engine Capacity :  1998cc

Bore and Stroke : 86.00mm x 86.00mm
Compression Ratio 12.5:1
Engine Construction : Aluminium alloy
Engine Lubrication : Wet sump
Engine Manufacturer : Subaru
Bore/stroke ratio : 1.0
Fuel System : D-4S DI EFI
Gearbox : 6-speed manual/6-speed auto
Drive type : Rear wheel drive

Based on the above specs I would say 170whp is or should be on par with what the 86 should be pushing.   ../../extensions/custom_smilies_2/img1/wink

Not at altitude.

Here is a small dyno from last year.
Now, between 4000rpm and 4500rpm the torque does climb so i assume its when the vvti does its thing?
Why on the Dicktator is the open rpm for the vtec set at 5200rpm?

Am i missing something?

Also, look at the 'dip' @5500rpm. that is where the car usually 'limits' itself.

Re: Toyota LM Bubble with red top 3sge conversion

Hi Guys,
Greetings from Mauritius.

Did same transplant 3SGE Redtop on a AE110 sprinter (FWD).
having issues with the drive shafts.

Can I i know which drive shafts have you been using? My mechanic says the original st202 drive shafts dont fit the AE110.

Thx
