Hi guys. I am a bit confused with this modification. I am going to do it very soon, so I want someone who has done it, to confirm the following:

"The ignition timing must be set at 16 degrees advance and the exhaust vernier 2 degrees retard"

Is this correct?? Is it 16 degrees or 15??

Also, which one I have to do first?? retard the vernier 2 degrees and then set the timing to 16 degrees, or the other way round??

My budget is around R120,000. I am a cash buyer! I am looking for a Run X RSi 2005+ model (low k's if pos.)
I search Gumtree and Junkmail all the time and havent had any luck yet. I know this is a rare car to find but I am willing to wait a few weeks. My options are really between this car, tdi sportline, cupra-1.9tdi, cupra 1.8t. So if you are selling one of these options also let me know please. Also what kind of things do I need to look out for when buying a second hand X RSI? Thanks for any and all help guys. Hoping to be apart of this club maybe soon with an RSI or something! Interior Light of Bubble corolla

My interior light doesnt go on at all.. I spoke to my buddy as he is a auto-electrician he says all corollas/conquest (bubble shape) has this problem with the door switches.. i replace 3 thus far and will be doing the last one tonight. This also effects the alarm as the alarm wont activate when the door is opened... so guys please check the switches.... wont hurt to be safe..

anyway he says if the switches doesnt work then the interior light wont go on.. he wired up my car for the conversion.. so i will give that a try, anything else i can look at?
